My journey into art started 14 years ago and is evolving. As a qualified interior designer sketching was a routine part of my work, though over the years, my passion for sketching has steadily evolved into my love and penchant for painting, and can be seen through my numerous works of art which have been displayed in quite a few exhibitions in India.

I originally started with basic pencil sketches, and then subsequently experimented with charcoals, pastels, watercolours, oils and acrylics. Although I have worked with all mediums, personally the most enjoyable has been charcoals, pastels and acrylics, as I find that they give me space to be expressive and to create my own style.

Having explored different styles and techniques of art over the years, all of which I have thoroughly enjoyed, I have been fascinated most by the notion of paintings that depict the nature of fabrics such as silk. I eventually diversified into this form of art a few years ago, and needless to say, was absolutely delighted with the results of my endevours. This medium remains my favorite and it continues to satiate my creative needs as an artist.

I am currently based in Nairobi, where along with my involvement in painting, I am also delving into Pottery; which is yet another field of art that has always interested me. Working with clay is a unique experience- and I find immense satisfaction in crafting a beautiful and complex piece of art- using seemingly simple clay.

On a more personal note, I feel extremely fortunate to have had the good chance of experiencing art in the way that I have. I am always grateful for any opportunity to be surrounded by the wonderful world of art. I strive to grow and learn as an artist by continually exploring new realms of art, and by challenging myself with the endless possibilities that the creative world has to offer.
